Disney is currently in serious trouble: while they are trying to revitalise the MCU, the Star Wars franchise is also in crisis. Their latest productions are failing to live up to fan expectations, creating growing discontent. The latest example is the TV series Acolyte, which, despite an 80% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, has received disastrous viewer ratings: the user rating is now only 17%, and the situation is no better on Metacritic, where it scored only 3.9.

Of course, everyone may have a different opinion on the new Star Wars series and franchise curated by Disney, and so it may turn out that some people do like it, but the big picture doesn’t show it.
